A Vehicle of Hope

They were doing all they could to keep their heads above water. They were working, saving, and healing from traumatic experiences. They were overcoming addictions and looking forward to a future that was full of promise. A young couple, she’s Hopi and he’s Diné, with a son on the autism spectrum and a baby on the way. Life was full, and heavy, and hard. And what they needed most was simple, yet out of reach: a reliable vehicle to care for their growing family.

So as soon as we heard about their need, and all that they had already overcome, we prayed, and we asked God to help us provide a miracle for them. And then we partnered with others to make it happen for them, as we often do.

Together with a local church, Singing Feather Ministries was able to hand them the keys to a beautiful Toyota minivan, not just a vehicle for the road, but truly a vehicle for peace of mind, provision, and the possibility that their lives really could be amazing. The church pre-paid for a year of full coverage insurance and Singing Feather covered taxes and registration. This was an encouragement to all of us, because we knew this is what the kingdom is like. Full of hope and generosity. Meeting needs in creative ways. And what a joy for all of us to partner with heaven in showing this family that they don’t have to do it alone, they have us, they have a spiritual family that loves them! What a joyful day this was! It’s so fun to be a blessing in this way!
